“Children are living beings-more living than people who have built shells of habit around themselves. Therefore it is absolutely necessary for their mental health and development that they should not have “mere school” for their lessons, but a world whose guiding spirit is personal.”
Rabindranath Tagore
Society, today is riddled with complexities and frustrations and cannot easily cope with these circumstances. People live in a society that do not nurture their feeling as they feel estranged to it. That is why the modern society often remains a failure in operating upon a right course especially when different courses lay before society and constrained to select one out of them. Mental calculations are not always apt.
I wish students may become physically, mentally and spiritually sturdy so as to live a life based on love, compassion, good-will peace, amity and service in furthering the case of universal brotherhood. This way, they would develop internationalist feelings in them and cast off narrow parochialism which hamper their genuine progress. Of all power vested in man, spiritual power is the most potent and is unsurpassable by any force. Great leaders like M.K. Gandhi, R.N. Tagore, Swami Vivekanand, Dr. Radha Krishanan, Martin Luther King, Abraham Lincoln and several others of their ilk were imbued with spiritual powers they were placed on high pedestal and acted as ‘Guide’ to the millions of people who felt bewildered and confused.
I call upon the school youths to muster spiritual powers in them for their better discipline, drilling of character etc. To live a meaningful life. So, hard work dedication and mental discipline will develop and prosper our country to become Super Power.
